Shirley MacLaine (b. April 24, 1934) is an American actor, dancer and household name. As a girl, and through her teenage years, she trained at the Washington School of Ballet. She then followed her performing ambitions to Broadway. She was part of the chorus for a number of hit shows before playing a role in “The Pajama Game,” which caught the eye of a well-known Hollywood producer. She signed a contract with Paramount Pictures and her career took off. MacLaine starred in movies like The Trouble with Harry and Around the World in Eighty Days, and was later nominated for her role in films including Some Came Running and The Apartment. MacLaine and her younger brother, Warren Beatty, were born in Richmond, Virginia. When she was 13 years old, she moved with her family to this brick colonial house, located at 930 N. Liberty Street in Arlington, Virginia.
