George Stephanopoulos (b. February 10, 1961) is an award-winning journalist and ABC’s chief political correspondent. Prior to his move into broadcasting, he served as President Clinton’s senior advisor on policy and strategy. He now anchors two ABC shows, Good Morning America and This Week with George Stephanopoulos, as well as the network’s special events segments. Stephanopoulos covers a wide range of political and non-political issues, which have put him across the table from an amazing array of public and celebrity figures. He has interviewed everyone from foreign heads of state to pop stars. He has also covered national elections extensively over the last decade and was one of the first journalists to report from Ground Zero on September 11th, 2001. Stephanopoulos has spent a great deal of time in DC’s political center. For about five years, he owned this multimillion-dollar house located at 1315 31st Street NW in Georgetown’s historic district.
